Аннотация:The wettability and filtration efficiency of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) upon irra- diation with Ar+ ions with an energy of 100 keV have been studied. The methods of energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy were used to study the content of residual manganese (Mn) in the filter, as well as to study the structure of irradiated MWCNTs. High-fluence irradiated MWCNT filters (HR-MWCNTs) showed an improvement in Mn removal of up to 99.6% at 10 ppm Mn. Filters based on HR-MWCNTs are extremely hydrophilic, have a contact angle of 66°, and have a high absorption capacity. The efficiency of manganese removal from an aqueous medium was studied as a function of the pH, initial concentration, and mass of MWCNTs.
