Аннотация:Numerical studies of surface Rayleigh wave interaction with piles usingFinite Element Method are presented in this article to show the attenuation effectof such wave barrier along with the possibility to implement pile rows as a methodof vibration protection of buildings and underground structures from surface wavesof Rayleigh type. Spatial FE models are used to analyze the influence of pile fieldparameters such as pile length, pile diameter number of rows and pile spacing onvibration reduction effect of the field, with respect to the wavelength that depends onfrequency characteristics of vibration loading and soil conditions. Apart from that,it is shown how additional pile rows can decrease internal forces in the piles insidethe protected zone which can be important for deep foundations.
