Аннотация:Zirconyl chloride reacts with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or its sodium salt in an acidic medium to yield the ZrA . 4H(2)O chelate. This chelate, unlike TiA . H2O, undergoes dehydration in air at 90-170 degrees C. Thermolysis in air is complete at 680-700 degrees C. Reaction of ZrA with Ba(OH)(2) or BaH(2)A in solution, followed by freeze drying of the product, produces loose nonhygroscopic powders of hydrated binuclear barium zirconium chelates. Their decomposition and subsequent short-term heating at 700 degrees C yield powders of single-phase submicron-sized BaZrO3 particles with a framework microstructure.
