Аннотация:Ceramic-like coatings with the thickness up to 35 μm were formed on E110zirconium alloy by microarc oxidation in electrolyte with the addition of yttrium oxide powderwith average particle size 0.28 μm. The electrochemical behavior in 0.2M LiOH, structure, andphase composition of the obtained coatings have been studied. Polarization study in 0.2MLiOHat room temperature showed the anode currents on the coating up to 4 times less than on theuncoated alloy. Increasing the electrolyte temperature to 100 °C leads to growth in the anodecurrents on the coated samples, but current density values still correspond to the passive state.
