Аннотация:A laboratory technique was designed for rapid determination of topoenzymatic activities of cellulases and xylanases in mixed office waste paper (MOW) was developed. The performance of the new method was studied in experiments with a model system of enzymatic degradation of printer ink from paper wastes, because printer ink consists of synthetic polymers (polyesters or copolymers of styrene) containing acrylates, methacrylates, or butadiene. The assay includes six stages: homogenization of laser-printed MOW, enzymatic treatment, flotation, filtration, sample preparation, and colorimetric analysis of surfaces of dried surfaces by image analysis by means of the computer programs Adobe PhotoShop v. 4.0 and Deinking v. 1.0. The method yielded sufficiently reproducible results and did not require airy special equipment. These data suggest that enzyme preparations enriched with xylanase activity display the highest deinking activity.
