Thermal Self-Action of Laser Beams and Filamentation of Pulses in Turbulent Atmosphereстатья

Аннотация:A comparative analysis of scenarios for the development of spatiotemporal instability under non stationary thermal selfaction and filamentation of highpower laser radiation in turbulent atmosphere has been performed. It is shown that the spatial dimensions of intensity perturbations and atmospheric turbulence are similar under conditions of nonstationary thermal selfaction. Perturbations of the light field are formed during filamentation at a scale independent of the size of the initiating fluctuations of the refractive index in turbulent atmosphere. The resulting instability of the light field is determined by aberration defocusing of radiation on thermal lenses under thermal selfaction and on plasma lenses under laser radiation filamentation.
