Аннотация:The article analyzes the current state of universal human values and ethical norms, which, from the author's point of view, should correspond to the rapidly changing global world. In this regard, a critical assessment is given to various subjective interpretations of the phenomenon of globalization and its objective and historical origin is noted, when the subjective factor plays a significant role, but is not decisive. Considerable attention is paid to the fact that in overcoming the global problems facing humanity, the primary role is played not by economic successes or scientific and technological achievements, but by the worldview of people, their value orientations, moral and ethical standards and humanitarian education in general. It is they that predetermine the success of the cultural and civilizational dialogue, without which successful interaction in the international arena is impossible. The author also points out the close connection between morality and law, which are characterized as the main regulators of social relations. In the final part of the article, the prospects for social development are discussed, and it is concluded that the future of mankind depends on correctly selected priorities and attitudes towards the humanitarian sphere, where ethics and values should be valued above all else.
