Аннотация:Problems of spent plastic management are considered. Major attention is paid to disposal of polymer waste on solid municipal waste landfi lls. The landfi ll life cycle ends with its reclamation aimed at restoring thedisturbed land landscape. In the process, a fertile soil layer is formed on the landfi ll surface, and plants are sown out. Polymer structure-forming agents for soil are suggested for controlling the wind and water erosion leading to degradation of the protective layers. Among these agents, interpolymer complexes formed by interaction of oppositely charged ionic polymers are particularly noted. This technology allows tuning of the three-dimensional structure (morphology) and hydrophilic-lipophilic balance of the polycomplexes in accordance with the composition and structure of the soil being stabilized. Low toxicity of polycomplexes for higher plants makes them promising as soil binders in antierosion technology in reclamation of solid municipal waste landfi lls and as agents improving the structure of artifi cially constructed soils (constructozems).
