Аннотация:The applications of rockets are of great strategic significance for a country in both space and military fields, and one of the most essential parts for rockets is an excellent propellant which has a stable burning rate, high anti-migration ability and a low pressure exponent. Addition of burning rate catalysts (BRCs) in propellants is the key to achieve these aims. In this review, the recent developments of Fe-based BRCs were introduced, including transition metal oxides (TMOs), nanoparticles, transition metal complexes and ferrocene (Fc)-based compounds. Furthermore, a summary has been made to compare the catalytic activity and anti-migration ability of various Fe-based BRCs. The mechanisms of catalysis and anti-migration are also discussed. It is anticipated that the Fe-based catalytic systems will significantly enhance the combustion performance of propellants and further broaden the opportunities for designing efficient BRCs.
