Аннотация:This article describes the phenomenon of an unpopular political decision, combining various interpretations of this new scholarly definition for political science. Along with the phenomenon itself, which is of great interest for the contemporary study of political science, it is also crucial to investigate its communication support. Unpopular political decisions have become commonplace in the modern theory of political transition, due to the dominant role of the state, which plays a pivotal role in this process. The article discusses the practice of communication support towards Russian pension reform, which has been a cornerstone of public debates in Russia in recent years.
