Rudakova A.V. The Linguopoetics of Multicomponential Attributive Word Combinations in William Shakespeare’s DramaSummary: The article presents results of the investigation carried out in terms of viewing some changes in the way William Shakespeare uses multicomponential word combinations in the course of his literary activities. The changes could be rather connected with the quality of using these complexes. The thing is that in Shakespeare's earlier plays all these combinations are used indiscriminately in the speeches of all characters, no matter whether they are the main ones or the secondary. And it doesn't matter whether the general character of the text is narrative or non-narrative. So, this careful and highly artistic use of the linguistic device in question may be considered as one of the peculiarities of Shakespeare's activities, of his greatest works that appeared only at the later stages of his artistic development. It goes without saying that studying Shakespeare's literary activities or the English drama of the XVI-XVII centuries cannot be confined to the study of attributive word combinations or to the multicomponential attributive complexes. But still such research helps us to come to a better understanding of the functioning of certain artistic devices and it in a sense contributes to the development of Linguopoetics as a separate linguistic discipline. Key words: attributive complexes, attributive word combination proper, homogeneous enumeration, synonymic condensation; reduced linguopoetic value (automatization), semantically and metasemiotically full-valued, foregrounded or actualized; associative, gnomic, expressive lingupoetic functions; narrative, non-narrative texts.
