Аннотация:Structures of the mixed bismuth-lead oxohalides PbBi(3)O(4)Br(3) and PbB(5)O(6)Br(5) are determined by X-ray powder diffraction. These compounds are shown to belong to the Sillen-type layered phases. They are composed of fluorite-like metal-oxygen [M(2)O(2)] sheets alternating with one or two halide sheets along the z axis of the unit cell. The general scheme of alternation of the sheets in this homologous series can be represented by the formula [X]{[M(2)O(2)][X](2)}((n-1)/2)[M(2)O(2)][X]M(2)O(2)]}{[X](2)M(2)O(2)]}((n-1)/2)[X], where n = 1, 3, or 5 (X = Cl, Br). Peculiarities of cation distribution in the fluorite-like sheets of these compounds are discussed.
