Аннотация:Material-balance equations and their solutions in the linear dynamics of adsorption are analyzed. For the first time, a geometric illustration of the change in the position of the equilibrium adsorption layer in time is carried out. For the discrete material-balance equation proposed in the model of the equilibrium adsorption layer, the solutions seem to be more correct. It is proved that, in the frontal and elution variants of the adsorption dynamics when using continuous equations of material balance, the solutions are not essential, but are functions that are chosen arbitrarily and do not describe the dynamic processes sufficiently accurately.
