The “Chinese Path” of Contemporary Youth Participation in Global Governanceстатья

- Аннотация: The introduction indicates the subject of this paper and the ways in which Chinese youth organizations participate in global governance. The purpose of this paper is to summarize the Chinese ways of youth participation in global governance, explore the existing problems and identify reasonable ways for reform. In the main part, this paper introduces four ways for youth to participate in global governance, namely working in international organizations, working in multinational enterprises, joining relevant social organizations and participating in relevant activities. Among them, the main way for Chinese youth to participate in global governance is to rely on government support and join international organizations. However, at present, Chinese youth are not aware of global governance, are not willing to participate in it and have weak capacity. At the same time, youth participation in global governance lacks the cooperation of multiple social actors and a strong social atmosphere, as well as a better model for training young talents in global governance. In conclusion, the paper suggests that non-Western countries such as China and Russia need to make comprehensive planning at the government level to create a cross-sectoral synergies mechanism for youth participation in global governance, paying special attention to the important role of youth social organizations. In addition, youth social organizations should further strengthen their own construction and improve their professional capacity. In addition to participating in global governance talent training programs in schools, young people can also enhance their global competence in various ways, such as participating in youth social organizations. The results obtained can be applied to the practice of global governance among Chinese youth.
