Аннотация:IntroductionOver the last decades, there has been a significant increase in the incidence of thyroid cancer. Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is the most common histopathological type with often a favorable prognosis. Conventional therapies include surgical resection, adjuvant therapy with radioactive iodine, and suppressive therapy with thyroid hormones. However, the prognosis for iodine-resistant/refractory thyroid cancers or the advanced metastatic cancer is less favorable. We present the patient-derived three-dimensional (3D) model of PTC, which can be used to test novel therapies.
