Аннотация: The present paper draws from morphology data gathered from 33 regions of formal USSR in field researches carried out by team of the Research Institute and Museum of Anthropology, Moscow State University, in 1961-1991. Subjects included 4386 men and 4436 women aged 17-95. The individual’s data were adjusted by age and sex before factor analysis and examination for possible correlations with climatic conditions. The factor analysis shown up five integrally morphological factors that characterize the parameters of the human body and explain 79.3% of the total variance: 1st factor (M1) characterizes body’s fat component, 2nd factor (M2) characterizes the linear measurements of the body, 3rd factor (M3) stands for body proportions, 4th factor of chest parameters, and 5th factor (M5) of bone aging. In addition it defined two integrally morphological factors of face (H1) and head (H2) which explain 74.4% of the trait’s variance. The correlation analysis between human morphology features and climatic conditions in the studied populations suggests that the chest morphology is the most dependent on climatic impact.
