Аннотация:The autoradiography method was applied for the first time to study surfactant distribution during the modification of solids and the evaporation of the surfactant solution droplets. It was established that this method makes it possible to obtain direct information on the surfactant distribution on solid surfaces and at the three-phase contact line. The following systems were used the solution of tritium labeled cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)-glass, quartz, paraffin, and Teflon. During the modification of solid surfaces with the CTAB solutions, the surfactant is predominantly concentrated near the three-phase contact line. This effect is most pronounced during the wetting of glass with dilute (2.2 x 10(-8) M) CTAB solution. Autoradiograms obtained after droplet evaporation from the surfaces of different substrates correspond to three types of surfactant distribution: (1) with increased surfactant concentration in the form of "rim" along the wetting perimeter; (2) with the "rim" inside the spot corresponding to the initially wetted surface area; and (3) with random distribution of the labeled substance through the area of radioactive spot. It was shown that the surfactant distribution is dependent on the substrate nature and the CTAB concentration.
