Аннотация:This work is devoted to the analysis of the wind speed profiling method in hurricanes. The profiling method is based on the self-similarity of the wind speed profile in the atmospheric boundary layer. Hurricane Irma is simulated within the WRF LES model using CFSV2 wind reanalysis as initial and boundary conditions. A comparison between the simulated wind speed profiles and the wind speed profiles from the NOAA GPS-dropsondes is performed.
