Аннотация:Corrosion protection of steel reinforcement in concrete is an important technical task. An efficient method used to solve this problem involves the use of special corrosion inhibitors, including migrating corrosion inhibitors. HAENYTEX® Protectoseal CI is one of such inhibitors. It is applied to the surface of reinforced concrete structures both for additional protection in the course of building new structures and during the operation of structures once the first signs of reinforcement corrosion appear. The inhibitor migrates into concrete stone pores and, on reaching the reinforcement, stops or slows down the corrosion processes on it. The depth of inhibitor penetration into concrete stone was estimated in laboratory experiments and in full-scale tests on bridge structures, using an indicator that changes color in the presence of Protectoseal CI. It was found experimentally that upon applying onto the surface, the inhibitor penetrates into concrete to a depth of more than 15 cm. At the same time, the protective concentration of the inhibitor determined under severe model conditions (NaCl content in concrete: 3% of the binder weight) is created at a depth of at least 6–10 cm. The optimal consumption of the inhibitor for the protection of reinforced concrete structures is 0.6–0.9 L/m2.
