Аннотация:Both at room temperature and at the boiling point, the formation of 10 primary molecular products is recorded, whose concentration is directly proportional to the absorbed radiation dose. The gas phase is dominated by carbon monoxide, the yield of which increases under boiling conditions. In the liquid phase, the products of cleavage of all single bonds are observed: C CF3, C–F, C–OH and C–H. The structure of the main products corresponds to the redistribution of CF3 and F groups. As a result, monoketones, trifluoroacetic acid, ketoalcohols, and tautomeric tetraketones are formed. The observed initial degradation yield of hexafluoroacetylacetone is 0.29 ± 0.2 and 0.32 ± 0.2 μmol J 1 at 293 and 343 K, respectively. This yield increases with increasing dose above 30 kGy. The accumulation of free HF is prevented by the reaction of it and its precursors with hexafluoroacetylacetone. The range of heavy products is limited due to the significant Coulombic attraction of the primary ions, the strong “cage” effect, and the ability of trifluoromethyl groups to dissipate excitation energy.
