Аннотация:Attempts have been made recently by our research group to functionalize and modify the 131-ketone group of phorbine derivatives via intermediate formation of the corresponding hydrazones. However, such an approach had a number of disadvantages, which were successfully eliminated in this work. We have synthesized various ketazines of methyl pyropheophorbide a (and its derivatives) via a three-component nucleophilic addition reaction. The in situ formed benzaldehyde hydrazones reacted at moderate temperatures with the carbonyl group at the 131-position, which led to reproducible yields of previously unavailable products.
