Аннотация:No one has any doubts about the role of the dosage form in realizing the potential of a new substance and promoting the drug on the market. However, many skeptics do not want to understand that the formulations of a pesticide to an even more significant extent determines the prospects of a new active substance, and therefore a drug based on it. When developing a formulation of a pesticide, it is necessary to solve such issues as a convenient form of application, fixation of the drug on the surface of the plant, penetration of active substances into the plant and high efficiency in the fight against weeds, plant diseases and pests.In addition, the formulation makes it possible to remove the negative consequences (in particular, phytotoxicity) of the active substances themselves on the cultivated plant by including inducers of resistance of cultivated plants in its composition. Modern formulations of nano-sized pesticides make it possible to better realize the biological potential of the active substance. The use of such forms allows to add minimal amounts of substance per unit area, distribute them evenly over the treated surface, realize the effectiveness of the active component to the greatest extent, extend the period of use of the drug, reduce its side effects, and reduce toxicity for humans and animals.This article will give a brief overview over the past 10 years of the authors’ own work and the literature data of specialists on the formulations of pesticides and their varieties, methods of their preparation and effectiveness. Issues related to the selection of formulations and development of technology for formulations, analysis of the physicochemical parameters of the resulting preparations, biological assessment of the identified optimal formulations of pesticides and prospects for promoting the preparations in agricultural practice will be discussed.
