Аннотация:The influence of cosmic rays and volcanic activity on the aerosol layer is analyzed in this work. The acidity obtained from the Greenland ice cores has been used for an analysis. It has been shown that the sunspot number (Wolf numbers) correlates with the background value of acidity in Greenland ice, characterizing the variation in the atmospheric aerosol component. This supports the mechanism of the influence of solar and galactic cosmic rays on the concentration of aerosols in the atmosphere previously suggested by the authors. The results of the analysis have indicated that acidity records in ice cores can be used to characterize the influence of cosmic rays on climate in the past, after excluding the peaks associated with Volcanic activity.
