Аннотация:The structure of the previously synthesized triosmium cluster was revised. The structure Os3(μH)2(CO)7(μC6H4){μ3Ph2PCH2P(C6H4)Ph} suggested earlier was not confirmed. The cluster has the composition Os3(μH)2(CO)7(μC5H4N){μ3Ph2PCH2P(C6H4)Ph} and contains the orthometalated pyridine ligand. The Xray diffraction study of the complex Os3(μH)2(CO)7(μMeC5H3N){μ3Ph2PCH2P(C6H4)Ph} containing the orthometalated 4-methylpyridine ligand made it possible to distinguish between the C and N atoms of the pyridine ligands in the resulting triosmium clusters.
