Аннотация:We study the asymptotic behavior for large time values of the fundamental solution of the operator of two-dimensional internal waves in a fluid that is exponentially stratified in the x2-direction. S. A. Gabov and Sveshnikov [Linear problems in the theory of unsteady internal waves (Russian), "Nauka'', Moscow, 1990; MR1109492 (92i:76015)] constructed the asymptotics for the equation of internal waves in the case of one space variable. The complete three-dimensional case was considered in [Yu. D. Pletner, Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 319 (1991), no. 3, 604–607; MR1148982 (92j:76100); A. V. Krasnozhon and Yu. D. Pletner, Zh. Vychisl. Mat. i Mat. Fiz. 34 (1994), no. 1, 78–87; MR1263224 (94j:76076)]. Moreover, as in the above-mentioned works, in the given case the study of the asymptotic behavior of the fundamental solution for large time values leads to the discovery of a distinct wave process called a `quasifront' [S. A. Gabov and A. G. Sveshnikov, op. cit.].
