Аннотация:Comparison of the Mössbauer spectra of 119Sn probe ions, located either in the bulk or in the surface-adjacent layers of Y0,9Са0.1СrO3, has revealed, in the latter case, a drastic decrease in the spin polarization of tin dopant down to its total vanishing (hyperfine field at Sn4+ nuclei at 4.2 K is found to be in the range of values 0 Н << 78 kOe). This effect is shown to reflect the preferential occupation, by the tin dopant cations, of the coordinatively unsaturated chromium sites, produced by the removal of O2 from surface layers during hydrogen annealing the samples. Our results demonstrate the possible effect of the change in charge-compensation mechanism related to heterovalent Ca2+ ions located in the bulk of crystallites, on the properties or their surface-adjacent layers.
