Аннотация:The article analyses the trade and economic aspects of China’s strategic cooperation with Tajikistan, which began after signing the Joint Declaration of the Heads of State of Tajikistan and China on establishing Strategic Partnership Relations on May 20, 2013, in Beijing. This paper examines the main bilateral documents between China and Tajikistan and the establishment of their strategic partnership. Using open statistical data from both countries, it studies their mutual trade, export and import structures, and investment dialogue, including an overview of leading projects, associated lending issues, dynamics, and priority cooperation areas. It compares trade and economic indicators generally and for individual years in the reviewed period, contrasting them with the indicators from the previous stage of relations. Problematic issues in bilateral trade and economic cooperation are identified. The author concludes that China holds a leading position as a foreign economic partner for Tajikistan in trade and investments and as a creditor. The significant problems of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries include Tajikistan’s negative foreign trade balance with China, its reliance on Chinese credit, and the dominance of raw material exports to China over non-raw materials, necessitating diversification
