Аннотация:Liposomes containing a natural antioxidant, astaxanthin esters, were prepared by dispersing the lipid film and evaporating from chloroform with further sonication. To increase the stability and better incorporation of astaxanthin esters, liposomes were modified with Pluronic F68 or pegylated distearylphosphatidylethanolamine – DSPE-PEG 2000. As a result of the work, the compositions were optimized and stable liposomes were obtained with an astaxanthin ester concentration of 0.5 mg/ml and sizes of 110 ± 15 nm and 440±15 nm with 0.5% Pluronic F68 and 255±40 nm with DSPE-PEG 2000 (2.5 mg/ml). The zeta potentials of liposomes were –35±15 and –60±10 mV, respectively. When blood mononuclear cells were incubated with the designed liposomes for 24 hours, it was shown that the survival rate was 98%. Antioxidant analysis with the ABTS radical showed that liposomes with astaxanthin esters of various compositions quench 17–50% more efficiently than control liposomes.
