Аннотация:To investigate how the shapes and sizes of the metal and oxide parts of the Ni/MeOx catalyst affect its activity and selectivity in the Sabatier reaction, a new synthesis method is introduced that allows for independent control over the size of each component. A decrease in the reduction temperature of the Nd1.5Ca0.5NiO4 precursor using the Ar/H2 mixture from 800 ◦C to 500 ◦C is accompanied by a decrease in the size of metal and oxide exsolutionlike reduction products. The Ni/(Nd2O3,CaO) nanocomposites obtained through the reduction at 500–600 ◦C exhibited excellent catalytic activity and CH4 selectivity in the CO2 hydrogenation reaction at reduced temperatures.A decrease in the size of Ni nanoparticles to 8–12 nm did not lead to a reduction in CH4 selectivity.Another unusual effect observed in this study concerns the significant influence of the morphology of the oxide substrate on the CH4 selectivity of the metal-oxide catalyst.
