Аннотация:The article deals with the analysis of linguistic and functional cognitive aspects of the Media language peculiarities that is considered to be the productive sphere of interpretations in the course of communicative process. Thus, taking into consideration the phenomena in question presented in European languages the authors find it necessary to pay special attention to the analysis of actual realization of linguistic units in the domain of business and political press, that contains borrowings from the English language existing alongside with original words and collocations, which is vividly shown by the examples taken from the French sources.
It should be borne in mind that the use of the English linguistic material in the Media is not only due to the necessity to present phenomena in the more explicable way. In the course of communication the problem of passing and understanding information in question arises, thus concerning pragmatic and functional cognitive approaches to the analysis of language functioning from the point of view of its linguistic and mental status. The problem of notions and concepts comes into being as the problem of differentiating between strict logical mental structures, on the one hand, and formations possessing both logical and sub-logical bases that presupposes emotional and evaluative characteristics manifestation subjectable to various interpretations, on the other.
