Аннотация:The Hepialidae family, in general, is investigated rather well. But, some areas, especially highlands, such as the Caucasus, are investigated obviously insufficiently so far. Systematics of these moths was also exposed to continuous audit that complicated drawing up actual faunistic lists.
Our researches were provided from 1985 to 2015 in all territory of the Republic of Northern Ossetia-Alania. Range of absolute heights was 110-3800 m above sea-level. Researches were conducted in steppe, forest-meadow steppe, low-mountain, mid-mountain and high-mountain forest, subalpine, alpine and subnival altitudinal belts. Biomaterial’s collecting was carried out in the sage-brush-tall grass and forbs-tall grass steppe, agrocnosis and settlements, inundated and coastal biotopes; broad-leaved, light coniferous, mixed and parvifoliate forests; forest glades and edges; mountain steppes; meadows of various types; exits of rocky breeds; stone scatterings and screes.
All scientific works were conducted with the standard methods used in world practice: catching by the air net, manual collecting on electric lighting sources, photography in environment and cameral processing, allowed establishing authentically 5 taxes of the specific rank which are falling into to 5 genus. The last published faunistic list is added with 3 species and respectively 3 genus as a result of this research. In our opinion, the specific structure of this moths group is established completely for the considered territory.
