Аннотация:Abstract
Article examines the stress response features in an emergency situation, in particular, the positive effects of psychological trauma. In contrast to the narrow negative interpretation of extremeness, there emphasized the need to consider the context of life and characteristics of professional and personal growth. In comparative studies helpers (rescuers, firemen, physicians etc.) and ordinary people involved in extreme situations, differences were found in psychological experience of extreme situation. Interpretation of differences in defense mechanisms and ways of coping from the point of view of the meaning concept of trauma depending on the nature of meaning personality work mediating extreme experience in emergency is proposed. Designated approaches for transformation of personal identity of helpers that contribute to the manifestation of caring for others, persistence, courage, spiritual growth of the individual. The results can be used in the development of psychological help practice to people in an emergency, crisis, including methods and programs that contribute tohe prevention of “burn-out”, occupational strain, the formation of personal competence in professional activity of helpers.
