Аннотация:Frozen-in condition is widely used in Space plasma physics, as it provide the possibility greatly simplify the process of theoretical analysis of observed phenomena. However, its applicability to describe different phenomena in many cases is not proper analyzed. Such analysis requires estimation of not only plasma conductivity, but also the temporal changes in the analyzed object and values of existing plasma pressure gradients. We present the analysis of applicability of the frozen-in conditions for the description of different processes in the magnetosheath and geomagnetic tail of the magnetosphere of the Earth, where great level of turbulence is ordinary observed. We show that frozen-in condition can be proper used only for comparatively quick processes, mainly for MHD waves. We also analyzed the applicability of the condition of magnetostatic equilibrium for description of magnetospheric phenomena. We demonstrate the possibility to use this condition for the clarification of magnetospheric topology and mapping of structures from the ionosphere to the equatorial plane.
