Аннотация:We present a first stable-isotope winter proxy record in up to centennial-scale resolution from permafrost (Lena Delta; Northern Siberia) for the Holocene. Our climate reconstruction based on 37 Radiocarbon-dated isotope samples from 13 ice wedges shows an overall 18O increase indicative for a Mid to Late Holocene winter warming. This contrasts with most other Northern Hemisphere proxy records, particularly from the Arctic, and may be attributed to increasing winter insolation as well as to the Laptev Sea transgression.
