Аннотация:An internal structure of the copper coins: Golden Horde pulo dated of XIV A.D. and ancient coin found in Phanagoria on areas dated of V-IV century B.C., have been studied by neutron tomography. From a set of angular projections of neutron attenuation were reconstructed three-dimensional models of the investigated objects and estimated their physical conditions. Areas characterized by a high attenuation of the neutrons was found in the copper pulo. It is assumed, that this areas forming are cause of the gradual penetration of a patina from coin surface into the coin body. In addition, the remains of the ancient coin as recovered underwater archeological object were explored by the neutron tomography method in details. The surface of this coin is badly damaged by corrosion and mineral deposits, but the remains of the coin were recovered by the neutron tomography method, the most susceptible to corrosion areas were visualized.
