Аннотация:The paper discusses the results obtained during physicochem. modeling of anticonvulsant activity-structure relations of 34 macrocyclic compds. (crown ethers). The side of the ligand interacting with the target might create a triangle, formed by electron donor atoms of O. This means that the anticonvulsant activity of the macrocyclic compds. should be essentially affected by values of active center electron-donor factors composing the triangle and by the topog. of these centers. To test this, a discriminant anal. was used, which enabled the activities of 32 of the 34 compds. tested to be precisely predicted. On the basis of the results from the discriminant anal., a regression equation was formulated, which included mol. wt. in addn. to the electron-donor factors. Regression ratio-derived correlations between the structural parameters and anticonvulsant activity make it possible to make practical recommendations for designing new effective compds.
