Аннотация:The structure of the Ce3RuSn6 is highly ordered. New compound contains two independent positions of cerium atoms, one for the ruthenium and four for the tin atoms, values of the interatomic distances are presented in Tab.1 Coordination environment of the Ce1 is distorted tetragonal prism, Ce2 - distorted pentagonal prism with two additional ruthenium atoms.
Generally, the structure of Ce3RuSn6 can be presented in the form of alternating layers of structural type AlB2, formed by cerium and tin. Between these layers the flat slabs of tin atoms and the ruthenium atoms are located..
The structure model of Ce3RuSn6 obtained by X-ray diffraction analysis was refined by the Rietveld method for powder data. In the process of clarifying good coincidence between the theoretical and experimentally obtained patterns was observed (Rp = 0.053, Rwp = 0.077, χ2 = 5.67).
