In September 2016 a group of scientists, students and engineers from MSU, The University of Tokyo, Atmosphere and Ocean research institute and IGE of Russian Academy of Science performed fieldwork as a SAMCoT activity in WP 6 field site in Baydara Bay. The scope for the field work was sampling coastal permafrost samples, measuring thermal regime and thermal properties of grounds, geophysical survey of the cofferdam construction area, the measurement of coastal erosion rate, geocryological mapping by drones. MSU researchers visited the site in first time in 2012 as a start of the WP6 SAMCoT project on Baydara. 2012’s field data and information from early publications with geocriological description of the site are used as a reference data to describe changes over the years. This report presents field data from 2016 expedition, comparison of 2016 field data with 2013-2015 results, data from MSU laboratory, analyses of geophysical data from cofferdam area, data of thermal shooting of the ground surface.
