NICEP is an interdisciplinary international journal focusing on fundamental and applied research on child development from birth to adolescence, and educational practices at kindergarten and school.
The first mission of the journal is to improve our understanding of children’s psychological development (cognitive, emotional, social, personality, etc.) and to promote the implementation at kindergarten and school of new, scientifically validated evaluations and interventions seeking to improve children’s psychological development and future in the world.
The journal values basic and applied research that supports interchanges between psychology and education.
The journal’s second mission is to promote non-Western (Africa, Asia, Latin America) as well as Western (Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand) perspectives on child developmental and educational practices. Giving a voice to researchers from all around the world is of high importance for the Journal. We will publish abstracts in English, French, Russian, and Spanish.
Theoretical and empirical research using both qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as replicated studies, are supported by the journal.
New Ideas in Child and Educational Psychology seeks collaboration between researchers and practitioners by adopting its Open Science principles.
